Returning to the Classroom

I can't believe how excited I get about returning to my bare classroom.  What will my theme be?  How will I arrange my room?  How will I set-up my desks?  How many students will I have the honor of teaching?  I love shopping for new school supplies, especially Crayola Crayons for 25 cents, Crayola Colored Pencils for 87 cents, and Crayola Markers for 1.00 each.  You can never have too many of Crayola products.  Of course, Elmer's Glue for 25 cents and spiral notebooks for 5 cents is a big deal also.  I'll be preparing treat bags for the kids this year besides a special new pencil.  Speaking of treat bags....I love the cello bags filled with gold fish and the tag reads,  "Welcome...You're O'FISH'ally a 2nd grader now!"  I also like the water bottles tied with a single pack of Kool-Aid.  "It is KOOL to be in School!"  So much to do and so little time!  I'll have to post pictures as my rooms comes together.  Yeah for a new school year....the excitement is always so real!!

Welcome....

I am new to blogging, but have been INSPIRED by so many other AMAZING teachers, that I decided to give it a try.  My BLOG title came about because the "paisley" design is a classy pattern of scrolls, swirls, flowers and dots that change every so slightly as it is repeated.....just reminded me of teachers sharing of ideas!  The apple is an obvious symbol for all teachers out there that do what they love doing!

My goal is to share my passion for teaching, creative ideas, memorable teaching experiences, effective lessons (freebies and Teachers-Pay-Teachers), special student moments (out of the mouths of students), teacher tidbits that have helped make me a better teacher (organization ideas, my favorite things I love to use in the classroom), and a little about my special family....they motivate me to be a better wife, mom, and TEACHER!

So, follow along if you have a passion for what you do.....Together we CAN make a difference!
